Zulay Soto Méndez trained as a sculptor, graduating in 1967, and added metal engraving in 1976 in a course with Rodolfo Abularach. A text quoted on her profile lists the forms that return in her work: the circle in its bare geometry, the radiant sun, and an eye that looks back uneasily.
