About this site
Who we are, and what we are not.
Who publishes this
Costa Rica Artists is published by North Coast AI LLC. It is a free, sourced directory of artists, museums, galleries and art spaces in Costa Rica, with the exhibitions those institutions date on their own pages. We don't sell art, take commissions or represent anyone listed, and we aren't affiliated with any artist, gallery, museum or institution here. Pages were researched and built with AI assistance and checked against the quoted sources.
Why this site exists
This site exists to point readers toward Costa Rican art at its source: the artists' and venues' own words, institution records and the exhibitions those institutions publish. We don't sell art, take commissions or speak for anyone listed.
The directory is kept small on purpose. An artist or venue joins once a current page we may quote gives enough detail for a real profile, so many artists who work mainly through social media aren't here.

Our reading written by Costa Rica Artists
These two excerpts show the kind of source this site is built on: a museum describing its own permanent collection in its own words, and an independent art space stating what it is, where it works and who founded it. Every profile here is assembled from lines like these, each quoted with a link and a check date, and our readings summarize them without adding facts.
Our summary of the quotes on this page. It adds no facts of its own.
What this site is not
It is not a shop, an agency or an encyclopedia. Profiles quote what the artist's or venue's own pages and institution records say, and link to them; for anything more, go to the source. No artwork is shown here, because the rights belong to the artists.
