Our reading written by Costa Rica Artists
Karla Solano came to art through photography and advertising design, both listed in her training, for 1993 and 1995. The profile's account of her work centers on the body seen from inside: she has used X-ray plates of the body, and her 1996 photo-installation is titled Espejo Interior, inner mirror.
The profile reads the work as a search for an irreducible female identity. A video-art mention and one museum collection complete the entries.
